HLH Prototypes became one of the pioneers of 3D printing technology in China introducing our first SLA machine in 2005. We now offer both SLA and SLS manufactured prototypes and parts.
SLA: Stereolithography is an additive technology which allows you to print 3D models of your parts direct from your CAD files in a matter of hours. SLA parts are incredibly accurate and provide the finest surface finish available via current 3D printing technologies. It works by fusing a liquid resin together via combination of computer controlled laser and mirrors.

SLS: is a 3D Printing technology similar to SLA but works by fusing or sintering a powdered material together via a highly accurate computer controlled laser and mirror system. SLS is a fast and accurate prototyping technology producing durable parts quickly and cheaply. The parts need little post process finishing and are suitable for a wide range of applications.

HLH Prototypes believes in investing in technology, new and exciting equipment and machinery pushing the boundaries of the industry, but there are times when you need to get back to your roots. The word for prototype in Chinese is “shou ban” (pronounced “show ban”) and translates literally as “hand model” which refers to the original method by which prototypes of any kind were created the world over.
There are some projects and products which still require the skill and dexterity of the human hand, with this in mind HLH Prototypes has a team of on-site skilled hand sculptors and fabrication artists who can recreate your designs from a few simple sketches. In the case of clay models these can then be vacuum cast in PU materials to offer a more final model.

HLH Prototypes is able to finish your prototypes or models so they resemble the real thing. Our on site facilities include dust free paint rooms, hand finishing areas, sand and bead blasting as well as silk printing equipment. We can match Pantone and RAL colour standards and can provide Mold-Tech and VDI finishes on metal and plastic parts.
As well as our in house services we have a massive network of specialist partners able to provide any finish imaginable from chrome plating and anodizing, through to heat treatments, zinc and other metal plating/coating, powder coating and water transfer printing, the list goes on for as long as your imagination.
