Each year in the Chinese zodiac calendar a different animal is assigned to a year, that matches a 12-year cycle. The tenth year in this cycle is assigned a Rooster. Years of the Rooster include 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017, and 2029.
