While we work with both, we typically advise clients to choose steel tooling as it generally tends to have a longer lifespan and can produce a greater quantity of parts. However, if you need a smaller run of parts quickly, aluminium molds can be the more efficient choice.
Regardless of whether you choose aluminium or steel, the cost of these rapid tooling options is considerably less than that of traditional, full-scale production tooling. Furthermore, we always use production-grade materials for your parts to ensure top-notch quality.

How does it differ from regular injection molding? While we use the same principle of injecting molten metal into a stainless steel or aluminium mold, rapid injection molding is faster and more flexible. It doesn’t need extensive set-up times and tooling, making it suitable for tight deadlines and short production runs.
